The Mecca for Collie owners - Sunnybank, New Jersey.

Sunnybank was home to early 20th century writer Albert Payson Terhune, who wrote many stories about his Rough Collies.  Perhaps the most famous book was "Lad, a dog".  Today Sunnybank is a public park in Pompton Lake, New Jersey.

Reveille (Texas A&M University)

Reveille is the official mascot of Texas A&M University.  While Louis is a die-hard Penn State fan, he still likes to keep up with Reveille.  You can read about the Texas A&M tradition here, in a nutshell:

• Reveille got her name when Reveille I barked during morning formation (when reveille was played).
• Reveille is the highest ranking (5 diamond general) member of the corp of cadets.
• If Reveille sleeps on a recruit's bunk, that recruit must sleep on the floor.
• Reveille follows her student handler throughout the day, if she barks during class, the class is immediately dismissed.   Knowing how Collies like to bark, there must be a lot of dumb Aggies.
